Finally, the first new AC/DC material in 8 years. I did expect it to be a little harder, but I still love it. Brian's voice is great, and overall it is just a great AC/DC song.

St. Pete Times, Tampabay.com, the "music critic", and AC/DC...what a joke!!
Hell, it aint my fault if Sean Daly dropped the ball on the new AC/DC album
Just because I called their so-called "music critic" out on his lack of reporting the news of the new AC/DC album, all of a sudden my posts are getting flagged as spam. It does not matter that I have posted there more than a few times. Hell, I ain't spending another 35 cents on that rag now, if this is how they treat posters. And I was even pretty friggin' nice about it. The music section has always sucked anyway, even before the current "critic".
Ya know, one of the biggest, and IMHO the best band of all time, is coming out with their first new album in 8 years, and this dude drops the ball.
Yep, I'm Powerage.

Carry Me Home
I love damn near every AC/DC song, but this would rank in my top 20. Other than diehard fans, no one has really heard this song. And Bon was probably drunk when he sang this song. Ride On Bon!

Just a reminder...
...that AC/DC is the greatest rock band ever. I can't wait for the new album.
Oh yea, I had to pull a couple of posts, but they will go back up, I don't know when.
Here are the lads, 1981 Tokyo. I have the whole concert on DVD, the whole show is incredible, and my favorite bootleg.

I actually got carded today
First, let me say I spent 16 years in the grocery business, including 9 at Winn Dixie. I quit in 1997 as a manager. Good thing, or I'd be dead. I also helped open this store way back in the day. It is real good store, as far as WD's go. Always clean and well stocked. I worked with a few of the managers of this store back in the day.
I went to the local WD with Christine to get a few things and some beer. The cashier punched in my phone # for the rewards program, scanned a few things, then asked to see my ID. Seeing how I'll be 41 in August, I was a little suprised, but flattered at the same time. I do look young for my age, about 35 or so. Now Christine is the same age, but looks 25. Maybe I should shave more often.
Anyway, it was cool I got carded, and WD has a great training program for the cashiers. I have been through this cashier's line a number of times, as she has worked there a few years. But maybe card the the people who look a little closer to 21?
On that note, here is a great version of Whole Lotta Rosie, the song that got me in to AC/DC. This is From the Hippodrome, October 1977.
Enjoy!

Going to Tropicana Field
I'm going to see the Rays-Angels game tonight, probably for the last time, seeing how I'm moving next week. Seeing how they play a lot of AC/DC at sporting events, and especially TNT, here is a great video of the lads play TNT.
Seeing how I'm going to a baseball game, enjoy the video and song 'Centerfield' from John Fogerty.

New AC/DC Album; Moving to NYC
AC/DC is wrapping up work on their new album, to be released sometime this year....after 8 LONG years. I'm sure they are planning a tour. I'll be moving to NYC in a couple of weeks, and bands always do promotional stops there, so I'll be there when AC/DC does theirs. By being in NYC, I'm going to try to go to the shows in Pittsburgh, Boston, and Philly, maybe Buffalo and Hartford as well as the NYC shows. I have seen them 5 times, with the first time being in Lakeland, Florida in 1983 on the Flick tour, which was an incredible concert. I last saw them on the SUL tour in Tampa. This will be their last tour, one last time to see the legendary AC/DC. I have numerous live complete shows from AC/DC's various tours, but it is not the same as seeing them live. Even if you hate the band, if they tour near you, go and see them!! They are the best live band on the planet. Just their presence on stage is powerful.
So, on that note, here are 2 songs from the Flick album, Flick of The Switch and Bedlam in Belgium. It would be great if the lads whipped these 2 songs out during the tour. Along with Down Payment Blues, of course.
Enjoy!

October 2000 AC/DC Audio
Hey all,
Go and pick up this great bootleg from AC/DC. From the SUL tour, Germany, Oct 12, 2000
http://www.acdc-bootlegs.com/
Sign up to get the bootleg.
Here is one of my favorite videos from the lads. Man, the start of an AC/DC concert is such a powerful experience. You have to have seen them live to understand what I'm talking about. The band has such a presence when they hit the stage, it is unreal.
Enjoy the video!!

Happy St. Pattys Day
Hey y'all, just want to say happy St Patricks Day, when everyone is Irish. This is the day when I wear my Tampa Bay Mutiny jersey I bought back in 1996. It is ugly, but cool at the same time. Green, 2 different blues, yellow. Last March, my future wife and I saw the US National team play at Ray Jay in Tampa. I wore that jersey and got a few compliments on it.
Anyway, here are a couple of videos. The first one is classic, Jim Breuer imitating Brian and Angus. Excellent!
The next one is Hells Bell, from, of course, AC/DC. This is Toronto Skydome, November 1990. I don't thionk I have seen this one before.
Enjoy the videos and everyone be safe. Tonight is rookie night. Christine and I are walking to a local bar for happy hour, have 2-3 pitchers, then walk back to my house. We went to a party Saturday night at Niagara Tap. The place was packed.

Guns For Hire - Detroit 1983
Hey all,
I ran across this video on Youtube. I have this video and have seen it many times, it has been awhile though. I saw AC/DC for the first time a week after this show, in Lakeland, FL. Still to this day the greatest concert I have seen, out of the over 100 concerts I have been to, and that is why AC/DC will always be my favorite band. Enjoy the video!
On a side note, last night my future wife and I went to a local pub to have a few beers, after being bored at work for 9 hours. They have the digital juke box where you can download music. I like to hear music when I'm at a bar, none was playing, so I fired up Given The Dog A Bone, Have a Drink On Me and Shake A Leg. That got the place jumping.

Bon Scott Statue Unveiled
Sunday 24 February 2008, Bon Scott was immortalised in bronze with the long-awaited unveiling of his statue at the Claremont Showgrounds in Perth, Western Australia.
Check out the pics:
http://www.bonscott.com.au/navigation1.htm
They did a good job with the statue. Bon was one of the best singers in rock n' roll and this is a fitting tribute in his memory. One of these days I will make it there to Australia to check it out.

You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
Great video here from the lads, the classic You Shook Me All Night Long, aka YSMANL. I'll post an update when I find out when the exact date is. My AC/DC memory is foggy right now.
In the meantime, enjoy these great videos from the boys.
Here is another great live version of YSMANL, 2000 Kölnarena 2000
